1. Getting Access
Once you have accessed the seasurface web site you will see a screen where you have the choice to go in as a Professional or Recreational Angler. If you are an existing subscriber with your own username and password you will have already have received instructions on which way to enter. However if this is your first visit and you are likely to purchase just a Single Use or a Multiple Use Pack then you should click on the ‘Recreational Anglers Go This Way’ button. If however you are likely to want to purchase a Multiple Use Pack or an Unlimited Subscription then you should click on the ‘Subscribers/Professionals enter here’ button.
1.1 Subscribe and Access
To access the SST Mapper system, you must be either a multiple access subscriber, or purchase a single access.

If you already have a Username and Password, you can skip this section and go directly to Logging In

Click on the red Free User Entry button on the top Left Hand Side of the screen.

You will now be on the free 7 day old data page. Here you will see a series of thumbnail images of the data and you can freely use this data by clicking on Go to SST Mapper button or click on the thumbnail but keep in mind it is 7 day old data. See Section 2 for how to use this data to try the full functionality of the web site. |

You can preview whether there is current cloud free data over your area of interest by selecting another date from the drop list and clicking on Send'. This allows you to select the best and most current dataset for your purposes. Please note that unlike the 7 day old data you cannot use this data sets until you have completed the purchasing process. These data sets have a red box around them.
In most situations, the best data will be the most recent. The only exception is if cloud cover has obscured your area of interest. White areas on the map indicate areas with no data due to cloud coverage. If you see a full colour image, you should select that one. If you see white obscuring the area you want to fish, you may need to select a different data set.
Once you have decide on a data set that wish to purchase please click on the Purchase Access button and you will be taken to the Get SST Data page with purchasing options.

Select your preferred access option and click the Proceed button.

On the Customer Details screen, enter your contact details and select a Username and Password, then click Proceed.

NOTE: For a Single Access purchase it is not necessary to nominate a Username and Password. However, if you think you may want to come back at a later time, creating a log in account will allow us to remember your details for future purchases.
For all Multiple Access options, a Username and Password is required so you can log in at a later time.

Once your payment has been accepted, you will see a Tax Invoice/Receipt confirmation screen with a link to the SST Mapper System.

NOTE: If you have chosen one of the subscription options, make sure you record your Username and Password somewhere so you can recall it for next time you visit the site.

1.2 Getting Access without a Credit Card
Yearly, Quarterly or weekly subscriptions can be purchased by mail or phone if you prefer.

1.3 Logging In
Existing Subscribers enter the system by completing the log in boxes found at the top of the Home Page, or on the Left Hand Side of each other page on the web site (see Fig 4).

You will have nominated a username and password when you subscribed for the service. If you have forgotten your password, you will need to call the Earthinsite Office: Tel: +61 2 6162 0005 or click on the Forgot Password button and it will be emailed to you at the email address you registered with.
